30 Reviews For This Extension
it is good, only annoying bug is.. it keeps creating duplicate groups with same name when pinned. i have to manually delete it otherwise they keep increasing under the url bar. Fix for now is - i removed showing tab groups under the url bar and it is good now
Very useful! Would be more useful if I could rename different instances of the same tab, though!
Modified tab icon defaults back to the website's standard icon. I refresh the rules I'm running and it fixes it back to the custom icon I assigned it, but only for 5 seconds before defaulting back to the website's standard icon.
Fantastic extension, exactly what I needed.
game changer! thanks for this!
no way to open or enter the program. Downloaded, only advert page shows.
New updated fixed it. Thank you! I rely on this extension so much.
Great extension. Feature-rich, easy to use, does exactly what you want it to do—and more, with things like custom icon changes! Awesome job, highly recommend.
So long I wandered in darkness till I found you My tabs are freshly modified Labeled well and organized.... Oh had I found you earlier, you little time and sanity saver....
Really great Add on Thank You
Used to be a 4/4.5 star a year ago, now only a 2. :( I have been using this extension for over year now and have loved it. Especially when the icons stuck when adding to another extension/app (Toby) for my tab management so they were easily identifiable by the icon alone. In the last couple weeks - I'm thinking since the last update, but maybe even as far back as when Chrome released groups for tabs, it's not retraining the title or the icon. It isn't always consistent, but definitely if I exit the browser or have to restart it for an update. Also when Google pauses a tab for inactivity to save bandwidth, it will also revert the title and the icons. I tried just this past week to use it's group feature vs Googles native option and it does not work at all. If I click on a tab in the group it pulls it out of the group and if I try to re-add it or move it to a new group, it duplicates the group or just pulls it back out again. I actually can't even use google's native option with tab modifier now. Not sure which one is having the glitch... So while this was a 4 start app a year ago - only 4 cuz there are not enough icon options without having to use an outside source which I couldn't figure out or at least couldn't get it to work, it has now dropped to a 2. No point if there is no functionality of changes sticking. It no longer keeps the title, the icon and for probably 9-10 months stopped keeping the name and icon when adding it to Toby.
Name is not retained. Would be great if the new name was retained when reloading the page, but it is not.
Fantastic! And it's an open source project on Github and the developer seems to care about the finer details of the user experience and the quality of presentation style. Note: One of other reviewers (Yacine Hannane) mentioned an issue with losing a tab's title when refreshing the tab. This does NOT in fact seem to be an issue at all in my testing, and may either be a bug that has long since been fixed, or was a problem unique to that user's personal setup.
For the most part, this is a very good tool. However, there is one issue for me: When you refresh the tab, it will lose it's title. This is quite annoying in situations where you have to refresh often e.g. web development. If @developer could fix this, I would absolutely love the extension
Just plain awesome. So useful in so many situations :) I've been using it for quite a while.
How can I revert back to its original tab name? Please help
Impressed with the UI... Amazing functionality ?
Love this extension and will keep using it to modify my tabs. That being said, I wish there was a way to upload .ico files from your local device for the tab icons. I know there's a way to use URLs, but uploading the icons would be much easier!
So helpful extension and thanks to the develop for this excellent work
I've been looking for a tool just like this one with no luck until now. It works great and it is very useful. I can make a few minor remarks on the UI but nothing major.
I use this extension, comprehensively, on multiple Chromium browsers. The new UI is great, and the addition of Groups has me using this extension even more. As such, my list of Rules has become quite long. For that reason, I have some feedback: 1) Within the Rules tab, make the Plus (+) icon dynamic, rather than static, so those of us with long lists can always have that button available 2) On the Rules tab, enact eate an option for the Rules tab to display entries by tab. Each tab would correspond to an individual group, which also reduces the length/scrolling for all Rules in one place. 00) It'd also be useful, without breaking out the RegEx codex, to support the single character wildcard symbol (?). In this case, the "?" symbol is dedicated as a positional wildcard dedicated to only one TBD character. Thanks for your ongoing dev work. I look forward to the next update. Cheers Edit: I also have a lot of Groups, many which relate to each other (even related in color), so it'd be useful to allow reordering Groups as is possible with Rules
This works well at Microsoft Edge. Features are cool, love its.
No problem whatsoever. Love it so far
I have about 15 different automations to automatically sort my tabs into groups, it has always been very reliable.
To add to the influx of bug reports in the form of negative reviews, the extension no longer saves new tab names. It still applies old rules, and allows the creation of new rules, but the contents of the 'Tab title' textbox do not save once the Save button is clicked, and there is no longer an option to rename tabs from the right-click menu. I wish a speedy resolution to these problems, and will update my review to reflect these changes.
Works well, the others couldn't handle Jira pages, this one does
3 Things that came up within the first 3 minutes of using this extension: 1. The app changed 4 tab names, later it stopped doing its function properly, it just wouldn't rename anything. 2. Once you rename the tab, it's impossible to rename it again. 3. If page contains some process running and you are changing its name, then the process will be reloaded because the tab was reloaded.
For Some reason this has stopped working, the names are stored but they do not appear on the Tab
Worked perfectly to change the dreadful new Reddit icon.
Fantastic tool! The only addition I would love to see would be the ability to automatically assign tabs to a specific tab group when I open them. Though there are dedicated plugins that can do this, they don't seem to play well with this one.
